Reducing waste on site.

What we do in design, materials and on site to produce less waste and use less energy.

Our approach

What we do.

Sample content for layout only. Replace with your real details before launch.

Design out waste

Standard sizes, careful setting-out and prefabricated joinery reduce off-cuts and site waste.

Reuse before replace

Existing doors, fixtures, ceilings and furniture are assessed for reuse before anything is removed.

Responsible materials

Low-emission paints and adhesives, responsibly sourced timber and durable finishes that last longer.

Efficient lighting & MEP

LED lighting, zoning and controls, and efficient HVAC reduce energy use in operation.

Site waste management

Waste is separated on site, recycled where possible and recorded.

Climate-smart landscape

Heat-tolerant planting, efficient irrigation and planned shade reduce water and cooling demand.

What is a low-carbon fit-out?

Choices that lower carbon.

Most of a fit-out’s carbon sits in the materials and in the work of removing and replacing what was already there. A low-carbon approach keeps what still works, specifies materials with lower impact and avoids waste.

We discuss these choices with you at design stage, when they cost least and change most.
